OUR HISTORY

ROOTED IN EUROPEAN GOLDSMITHING TRADITION

Edward and Eugene Notovich are third-generation jewelers trained in traditional European goldsmithing, a lineage that shapes how they approach every piece, from the alloy they choose to the way a setting is finished by hand. After immigrating to the United States and spending a decade in Minnesota deepening their craft, they brought that tradition to Carlsbad when they opened Bravo Jewellers in 2010. Edward leads the bench. Eugene leads design. Every piece passes through their hands before it leaves the workshop.

OUR WORKSHOP

Most of Edward and Eugene's day is spent at the bench, not behind a counter. Fabrication, stone setting, repairs, restorations, and custom builds all move through the same Carlsbad workshop. When you bring a piece in, you meet the jeweler who will work on it. When you return, you can ask exactly what was done, which tools were used, and why, because the person who answers is the person who did the work.

Bravo Jewellers was founded because Edward and Eugene had seen too many clients pay for jewelry work that disappeared into anonymous third-party shops, with no transparency, no accountability, and no real answers when something went wrong. They opened this store to make that experience impossible.

Every piece stays in our Carlsbad workshop, touched only by the jewelers you meet at the counter. You know who is working on it, what they are doing, and when it will be ready, no guesswork, no middlemen, no surprises.

Where is Bravo Jewellers
located?

We are at 2623 Gateway Rd, Suite 101, Carlsbad, CA. The workshop and showroom are in the same space, so when you visit you are meeting the jewelers who make and repair the pieces, not a sales team.

Are Edward and Eugene
actually on-site?

Yes. Edward and Eugene spend most of their day at the bench in our Carlsbad workshop. When you bring in a piece or come in with a custom idea, you are speaking directly with the goldsmith who will handle the work.

Do you outsource repairs or
custom work?

Never. Every repair, restoration, and custom build is completed in our on-site workshop by Edward and Eugene. Your jewelry does not leave our Carlsbad location.

What does the custom design
process look like?

It starts with a conversation, you describe the piece, the occasion, and any design references you have. From there, Edward and Eugene move through concept sketching, CAD rendering, metal fabrication, stone selection, and hand finishing, keeping you informed at each stage. Edward and Eugene are third-generation jewelers trained in traditional European goldsmithing. They refined their craft over a decade in Minnesota before opening Bravo Jewellers in Carlsbad in 2010. The team also holds GIA gemologist certification, which informs every diamond and gemstone selection we guide clients through.
